Patch Notes – 0.43.1 Update

With today’s build, we’re introducing a new Texture Streaming system that should significantly improve memory usage for players across the board. This should prove especially beneficial for players on lower end rigs, leading to better responsiveness and improved framerate. Additionally, we’ve managed to hone in on a few bugs related to point captures and crashing while fishing.

Build Updates

  • Implemented a dynamic texture streaming system that reduces average texture memory usage by about 90%. (for an average of around 50% savings of memory for the client)
  • Because of the reduced texture memory we have raised the maximum texture quality on in-game assets to 4096×4096 (on those assets that support it)

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue that caused characters to become inaccessible if the game crashed or they logged out while fishing.
  • Resolved an issue related to Points of Interest being uncapturable under certain circumstances.
  • Introduction of dynamic texture streaming should lead to reduction in crashes.
