NOTE: As mentioned in our most recent previous patch notes, this update is accompanied by a character wipe, made necessary by changes applied to character statistics and how they’re calculated. Only the items presently in your personal bank will be preserved.
We’re excited to introduce our first content update to Camelot Unchained since our launch on Steam Early Access! Included in this build are higher spawn counts for enemy NPCs, greater drop rates with gathering professions (Candleberry hoarders rejoice!), and balance tweaks to combat that will allow you to stick in the fight for longer. Each class now has its own unique stat layout at character creation, and the ways that your attributes impact you in combat have been tweaked.
World Changes and Balance
- Greatly increased the spawn count, rate, and radius of hostile NPCs around Home Island resource nodes.
- Added bandit NPCs to the Home Islands.
- Increased spawn count, rate, and gather quantity of resource nodes.
- Increased drop rate of Candleberries when gathering. Rejoice! Nodes will now drop either 2-6 berries or 4-12 berries.
- All gathered resources will now drop at a quality level of 5.
- Hunting Changes:
- All creatures will now drop meat, hide, and bones.
- Boars will drop more meat and bones than hide.
- Wolves will drop more hide and bones than meat.
- Bears will drop more meat and hide than bones.
- Logging Changes:
- Sap is no longer dropped by itself when logging.
- 33.33% chance to get sap when logging.
- Prospecting Changes:
- When gems are gathered, chances to get flakes and nuggets are re-rolled. The default chance to get gems remains the same as before.
