Happy Friday Folks,
Today we are releasing Update 0.50.1, including tweaks to gathering balance, a new NPC animal for players to pursue, and several bug fixes. Your feedback since Update 0.50 released has been invaluable in helping us track down tricky issues and pain points that we will continually seek to address, and 0.50.1 is just the start of that effort. More harvest nodes will now spawn for herbalism, logging, and mining to help alleviate a potential bottleneck with gathering. Also, a new tier of boar has been added to Yggdra Forest, ready to humble the unprepared hunter.
Our highest priority fix for this update was resolving a problem where player abilities could lock up after interacting with a gate. That bug is now squashed, as well as a few other gate-related issues. Additionally, Veil Fractures can no longer be accidentally faction-locked by a Viking player capturing them.
While we continue to iterate based on your feedback, we are also hard at work at what comes next. The team is making steady progress on several items from our Autumn roadmap, including expanding Siege, and we look forward to sharing more with you in the near future. We know that features like RvR progression are important both to CU and to our playerbase, and you can rest assured that we haven’t forgotten about it – far from it, in fact.

World Changes and Balance
- Increased the max number of harvest nodes that can spawn for Herbalism, Logging, and Mining.
- Added Black-toe Boars to Yggdra Forest. Hunters beware!
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue where interacting with gates could cause a player’s abilities to become unusable.
- Resolved an issue where the incorrect gate model could spawn for Viking and TDD Keeps once the original gate was damaged.
- Resolved an issue where Keep gates could be healed by utilizing cauldrons and ground-placed healing effects.
- Resolved an issue where Vikings capturing a Veil Fracture would lock it from other factions forever.
